Are you ready to stop feeling constantly exhausted, frustrated and dreading Monday mornings?

Can you imagine having a career in which you don’t dread Mondays?

Where your inbox doesn’t stress you out?

Where you are able to say ‘no’ to the tasks you don’t have time or energy to complete?

Where you know what you want from your life and career long-term?

Where you can handle the difficulties thrown your way?

Where your perfectionism no longer gets in the way of getting things done?

Where you’re not sacrificing your life for your clients?

I’ll help you make that a reality.

Hi, I’m Gaby!

I used to be a Big 4 tax consultant. I was a high performer, praised for how organised, diligent, easy to work with and quick to learn new things I was. I was bagging the pay rises and bonuses, and living the corporate life.

And then I crashed and burned.

I was giving my job my all. Working through lunch, engaging all of my perfectionism, banking on the fear of failure to stay ‘hyper organised’ (that’s a direct quote from a performance review!), learning everything I could because making mistakes was not an option. The firm promised clients perfection, and that’s what we had to deliver.

In the end, I burnt out so spectacularly that seeing the Outlook pop up in the corner of my screen made me sob uncontrollably and freeze so solid that penguins would confuse me for a block of ice…

I found my way to burnout recovery, and now I use my knowledge and experience to help others like you.

Introducing… The Coaching Kitchen Burnout Recovery Method!

Does it involve cooking? Will I have to buy expensive ingredients I won’t know what to do with, like saffron, preserved lemons and black lentils?

No. Although cooking can totally be a part of your burnout recovery, the name didn’t come from the activity, but from the location - my kitchen.

Since March 2020, my working life moved from a large open-space office with rows of desks to a much more cozy, humble abode - the kitchen of my 1-bed London flat.

This is where I’ve worked from, where I started The Un-Specialist, where I did therapy, and where I created my burnout recovery method.

When you work with me 1:1, you are invited into my kitchen. It’s a safe space, where we drink tea, laugh, cry, and take time to find your unique path to burnout recovery.

The Coaching Kitchen Burnout Recovery Method combines my experience with the up to date research into burnout recovery and mental health. I use a combination of methodologies, tools and theories to present you with just the right coaching cocktail.

By working with me you will get

More energy to do the things you love

Clear, enforceable boundaries that you know how to bend without breaking

A less stressful life

Recovery from perfectionism/people pleasing/overachievement/hustle mindset

Clarity on what you want from your life and career

A life that you actually want to live every single day

What my clients say

  • Coaching sessions with Gaby were an invaluable personal development experience. From the start she helped me identify areas of my life that needed more work and attention. With Gaby’s coaching, I was able to find my own ways to improve my health and fitness routine. What is best about her approach is that Gaby leads you to find your own methods that remain sustainable in your life beyond coaching sessions. It was a great experience at the start of the year that set up the pace for my personal development for the entire year.

    I

  • Gaby is warm, friendly and welcoming, instantly making you feel at home within the coaching sessions. I was 100% a sceptic and didn’t believe that coaching would do anything for me. Gaby’s approach to the sessions, her ability to highlight aspects of my own words and then throw them back at me as questions allowed for self-reflection and self-set targets within my personal and professional life. The impact the coaching has had on my life is nothing short of a revelation, with Gaby’s unique and absorbing approach the key reason for my success. I could not have wished for a better result, having set myself a personal target of achieving one of my goals within 12 months, for it to be achieved successfully within 3!!! Thank you Gaby!!!”

    M

  • I feel very grateful to have been coached by Gaby. She has taken the time to understand where my interests and values lie, fostering an environment of authentic development. This has allowed me to be honest about the less satisfying aspects of my job, and take meaningful action towards a more fulfilling career.

    P

  • I’ve worked with Gaby for 6 months and really valued the space and thinking time to reflect on my work life balance and dealing with upcoming challenges. We had some practical focused sessions that helped me work through short term goals, as well as the challenge to look longer term at my career and actions I wanted to take. Would highly recommend Gaby as a coach!

    J

  • Gaby asks pertinent questions and it leads to a lot of reflection especially between sessions. She has also made time for me between sessions, for a quick call or an encouraging or challenging note on a short message. It has helped a lot to know I have support through changing jobs, and I think I picked the right coach for me in Gaby.

    J

  • Gaby is a transformational coach. I achieved more than I could have hoped for in the time we had together. Spending 1.5 hours together in a session was great as sometimes with just 1 hour it can feel too short in terms of being able to go deep enough. I had a great experience with Gaby and felt she was empathetic, non-judgemental and I really felt listened to and very much “not broken”.

The Coaching Kitchen promise

This is coaching, not magic. And even in magic, things don’t always go to plan.

I can’t promise you results. Those heavily depend on your own engagement with the programme, although I will always do my best to help you achieve your goals. That’s my job!

So, my promises to you are as follows:

  1. If you start working with me and then decide it’s not the right fit, I will refund you for any unused sessions.

  2. If during the programme you have any unforeseen circumstances (e.g. illness, moving house, any sort of ‘life happens’ situation), we can pause the programme and come back to it when you’re ready.

  3. If you have a consultation with me, and we decide that right now is not the right time for coaching, I will freeze the prices for you for 6 months.

  4. At my discretion, if the programme is not working for you, I will offer you up to 3 additional 1:1 sessions free of charge.

You don’t have to live like this:

Constantly tired and unable to concentrate on the tasks in front of you

Struggling with sleep, eating, exercise and random pains and aches that your doctor can’t explain

Too mentally drained to spend time on your hobbies or seeing friends

Feeling like there’s no point to what you’re doing in your career, but too drained to consider a change.

Your next step is to get your free consultation booked - there will be no pushing, hard selling or sleazy tactics. It’s a time for you to talk freely and help us get to know each other. I encourage you to bring a cup of tea and make yourself comfy.

FAQs

  • I will always work with you to make the programme work for you, no matter what your accessibility needs. There is of course no additional cost to that.

  • No, I am not. I am a trained coach and a member of the Institute of Leadership (member number: 20444879).

Because I am not a trained therapist, counsellor or a doctor, if I deem you to be in need of a this type of help, I will refer you to the appropriate professional. You are, however, welcome to work with me in conjunction with, or following, therapeutic work, if your therapist thinks this is appropriate.

I know the boundaries of my knowledge, experience and qualifications, and always refer when needed.

  • You can read about my story here.

  • Absolutely not! Although I now do offer face to face appointments (those take place 5 minutes from Peckham Rye station, and are mainly available on Fridays), I still do most of my work via Zoom.

In short - you don’t even need to be in the same country as me, as long as we can find a time that works for both of us (sorry, NZ people!).

  • I have completed coach training accredited by ICF, EMCC and ILM. I am currently completing all the necessary paperwork to complete the accreditation process, and expect to hold an ILM Level 5 qualification and be accredited at the Practitioner Level with EMCC by the end of 2023. I also constantly update my knowledge through ongoing research, have a CPD plan, and intend to become a certified Mental Health First Aider in the first half of 2024.

  • Yes, I undertake regular supervision sessions on a monthly basis.
